Join Michelle Ernster from UC Davis Health for these presentations on Brain Health.
Different topic each day:

  • Dec. 18, 10:00 am - “Eat the Rainbow” - Discover how adding a variety of colorful fruits and vegetables to your plate can boost brain health, improve memory, and support overall wellness. Explore the science of color and nutrition.

  • Jan. 15, 10:00 am - “The Power of Exercise” - Embrace the connection between love, laughter, and longevity, and be empowered to lead a heart-healthy, brain-boosting life!

  • Feb. 20, 10:00 am - “Love, Laughter, and Longevity” - In this presentation, learn about what research says on the connection between exercise and the brain, and simple exercises you can do.

UTILITY ASSISTANCE PROGRAM
Qualified homeowners can apply for the City of Woodland’s Utility Assistance Program, which is sponsored by Measure R. You may be able to save $30 per month on your energy bill. Stop by the senior center to pick up your application. Your household’s gross income must not exceed the PG&E CARE and FERA program guidelines. Please refer to pge.com for those guidelines. In this book club we shall select books to read then discuss at a future meeting.
You can acquire the books from your local library, Audible, Amazon, or the Avid Reader in Davis (to name a few)
Here is the line up for the upcoming months: 10/16: Broken Country By Claire Leslie Hall; 11/20: Isle of Sea Women by Lisa See; 12/18: Will be selected at October 16th meeting.
